Jennifer Xavier, PhD is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology. Jenny joined the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 after ten years of post-doctorate experience focusing on pharmacology, genetics and precision medicine. She trained at St Jude Research Hospital and the Ontario Cancer Institute before joining Eli Lilly and Company, first as a postdoctoral scientist in the oncology drug hunting team and then as a research scientist and group leader in Investigational Toxicology. Prior to her appointment at the University of Pittsburgh Jenny was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Penn State College of Medicine where her research involved validating novel oncology drug targets and disease models, and leading the divisions biorepository. Jenny is also the Associate Director of Research at the Institute for Precision Medicine of Pitt and UPMC.
