Jie Bin (Jay) Liu

G1 MD/PhD student, Cellular and Molecular Pathology Program, School of Medicine

Jay holds a BA degree in Neuroscience from Colby College. Before coming to Pittsburgh, he worked as a research technician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where he studied gastroesophageal cancers. He has completed two years of medical school before transitioning to the Lee-Oesterreich Lab. He is currently investigating why lobular breast cancer patients with HER2 mutations show enhanced response to HER2 targeted therapies.
