Brent earned his BS in Computational Biology from the University of Pittsburgh (’21) and an AS in Mathematics & Sciences from the Community College of Allegheny County (’19). Before starting his PhD, he worked for two years as a Bioinformatics Analyst at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, contributing to research on pediatric brain cancer, traumatic brain injuries, immunology, and infectious disease.
His current research focuses on leveraging multi-modal data to bridge genomic and phenotypic resolutions, enabling a systems-level understanding of breast cancer biology.
Outside the lab, Brent enjoys cooking, attending concerts, and making music.
